LCT is one of the most talked about and discussed topics in today's world of education. Although this concept has been unofficially introduced since time immemorial, in the modern era, Rousseau, Spencer, Pestalozzi, Froebel, Dewey and others have extensively researched and studied this concept. The concept became widespread in the UK in the 1920s and 1930s. After the publication of Plowden report in the United Kingdom, attempts were made to make the school curriculum more children centred. In the 1960's and 1970's, when there was widespread opposition to formal education around the world, there was concern about how to make the pedagogical practices more effective. After the 1990's, the concept of child centred teaching (LCT) became very popular all over the world. But there is disagreement among educators about what LCT is. Keeping this fact in mind, this book attempts to resolve the dilemma in this regard by interpreting the concept of LCT from different perspectives. It is hoped that this little book will at least help a little bit in the area of pedagogical practices.
