Kansei Semiotics of Manga Expressions

Japanese comic or manga has flourished in post-war Japan and made up a realm of specific expressions. There also emerged some interesting critics on the manga expressions. Although these critics were illuminating, they usually lacks in depth academic analysis of the subject. This book provide a theoretical treatiese on the semiotics of manga expressions based on a critical assessment of structural semiotics ,cognitive linguistics and interdisciplinary studies on kansei.
